Why Should I have a Facial?

Our skin is our largest organ and we should treat it with care, it is after all a reflection of our overall health and well-being.
Benefits include:
  • Deep cleaning removes impurities and debris found superficially and those embedded in the skin.
  • Strengthens & maintains muscle tone for a more youthful appearance.
  • Increases circulation thus nourishing the skin, improving elasticity, firmness, color & texture.
  • Releases tension held within the muscular structure & stimulates cellular rejuvenation.
  • Specialized massage movements helps to eliminate excessive toxins & fluid retention.
  • Facials create a sense of emotional and spiritual well-being through deep relaxation.
  • Regular facials will cause your pores to remain unclogged and your face to look smooth and healthy.
  • Facials provide an opportunity to analyze the skin and suggest preventative maintenance.
Skin cells regenerate every six weeks, which is why we suggest incorporating facials into your beauty routine every 4-6 weeks.

Why Should I have a Massage?

Massage allows you to be transported to a world where all the stress and demands of a busy lifestyle can be put on hold. The sheer pleasure of massage is therapeutic, but when combined with essential oils the calming effect on the body, mind and spirit can be profound. Massage produces a sense of well-being. Relaxation massage incorporates a number of different techniques including lymphatic drainage, Shiatsu or acupressure for neck and shoulders, Swedish massage for overall relaxation of the muscle and hot stones (if requested) for deeper penetration of heat to relax stiff muscles.

Lasting benefits of massage are:
  •  increased circulation
  •  relaxation/stimulation of muscles
  •  increased mobility of soft tissue
  •  alleviate pain & stiffness
  •  increased elimination of waste & toxins, helping to fight fatigue.

Massage puts back what life takes out of you.

Why Should I have Sauna Therapy?
The infrared sauna utilizes the body’s largest organ (the skin), which constantly excretes toxins through sweat, while also increasing the cell-division process (healing) and mobilizing lymphatic drainage (the internal cleaning process). Sauna therapy – the benefits are incredible.

Detoxification:
The reasons FIR (Far-Infrared) has beneficial results in a variety of illnesses is the ability of FIR waves to remove toxins, which are often at the core of many health problems. Far Infrared is thought to be 7 times more effective at detoxifying heavy metals as opposed to conventional heat or steam saunas. Toxins such as sodium, alcohol, nicotine, cholesterol and carcinogenic heavy metals (cadmium, lead, zinc, nickel) accumulate in the body during modern daily life. The body eliminates most toxins naturally by sweating. The healing far infrared rays penetrate the body and cause a cellular vibration that releases the toxins from your body. Heat therapy stimulates the sweat glands that cleanse and detoxify the skin. The heat simply speeds up the body's natural process. Increased detoxification through the skin takes a load off the liver and kidneys.

Pain Relief:
Radiant heat expands and dilates peripheral blood vessels. This action brings relief to muscles and soft tissue injuries. In addition, increased blood circulation delivers oxygen-rich blood to injured muscles, which helps to speed up the body's natural recovery process.

Weight Control:
One session in a FIR Sauna will burn as many calories as you would jogging for 3 miles. Through deep penetration of fat cells, radiant heat therapy will help clear away cellulite Perspiring is part of the complex thermoregulatory process of the body that increases the heart rate, cardiac output, and metabolic rate. The process requires a large amount of energy and reduces excess moisture, salt and subcutaneous fat. Fat becomes water-soluble and the body sweats out fats and toxins. While the weight of the water loss can be regained by drinking water, the calories consumed will not be.

Reduce Stress:
The soothing warmth of the FIR Sauna will relax and loosen your tight, sore muscles. Radiant heat therapy also relieves the stiffness, aches and soreness associated with aging. Many massage therapists use heat to provide more a thorough and more effective treatment.

Benefits to the skin:
You may have noticed how your skin feels so much softer in the summer months, with more natural glow and moisture. This healthy skin can be kept all year long with use of a FIR sauna. Perspiration purges clogged pores of deeply imbedded impurities and dead skin cells leaving you with glowing radiant skin. An increase in blood circulation encourages a healthy flow of nutrients to your skin that in turn helps to relieve acne, eczema, psoriasis, and burns. It will also encourage the healing of lesions and minor cuts. This leads to a more soft and clear complexion.
May help clear cellulite through sweating and detoxification.

Increase Blood Circulation & Strengthens Cardiovascular System:
As your body increases sweat production to cool itself, your heart works harder pumping more blood, achieving the conditioning benefits of continuous exercise. By widening your blood vessels and enriching your blood with oxygen you feel more energetic.
Most ailments associated to some degree with poor circulation, may respond well to the increased peripheral dilation associated with Infrared application:
Ie Arthritis, Sciatica, Backaches, Hemorrhoids, Rheumatism, Diabetes
The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) (August 7, 1981) reported what is common knowledge today: Many people who run do so to place a demand on their cardiovascular system as well as to build muscle. What isn't well known is that it also reported the "regular use of a sauna may impart a similar stress on the cardiovascular system, and its regular use may be as effective as a means of cardiovascular conditioning and burning of calories as regular exercise."

Boost Immunity:
Shortens recovery time from colds and flu, and strengthens immune system.
Most illnesses are accompanied by a fever. During a fever, the body heats up to eliminate viruses and attack foreign agents. Often misunderstood, this rise in temperature is a natural stage of the immune system's healing process and is one of the best ways to rid the body of chemicals and unwelcome visitors. The immune system weakens the hold of viruses and bacterial growth. Saunas induce an "artificial fever" by heating up the body but without the pains of an illness. Subsequently, the body wards off invading organisms much more easily because the immune system is activated consistently by the "artificial fever".

DO NOT attempt to self-treat any disease with an Infrared Sauna without direct supervision of a certified physician.
